About the Game

Catastasis is a cozy hidden object discovery game set in a quiet house from the early 2000s. You play as a house cat with a critical job: locating and containing dimensional anomalies disguised as ordinary toys.

The humans don’t get it, they think you’re just playing. But you know better. These anomalies threaten the stability of reality itself, and only you have the perceptive clarity to stop it.

Search each room, identify the anomalies, and secure them in your containment unit (a toy basket) before the fabric of reality frays and falls apart.

There’s no combat, no dialogue, no timers.  Just ambient exploration, tactile feedback, and the quiet urgency of a cat who sees what others can’t.

Yes, this game uses some AI-generated art. It also uses human-generated art.  

The narrative, ideas, and tone are 100% human.  

AI is just one tool in the kit of this project. Like autocorrect, or a pre-built game engine.  I directed it with real-life references from my own home. Then I edited, curated, and mixed in human-made assets.  

If that means this experience isn't for you, that's ok.
